Building has been my passion since I was a kid building forts in the woods behind our house.  After studying engineering and management in college, I began my career by learning the trades on the jobsite.  For four years I apprenticed under master carpenters building custom homes in the San Francisco Bay Area from start to finish.  I worked my way up to a superintendent position focusing on commercial construction.  As site superintendent I was responsible for coordinating all project resources to prosecute a wide range of projects.  I gained valuable professional experience in the fast paced, high stakes commercial market, then worked as a project manager for property development clients.  In 2004 I started H & H Builders Group to offer a construction process that reduces homeowners' stress due to my management skill and business philosophy. I started my career as a Civil Engineer and quickly learned that construction management was my passion.  I started to work as a project manager after earning Masters and PhD degrees in Stanford University's Construction Engineering & Management program (Civil Engineering Department). I've built luxurious custom homes, a state-of-the-art energy efficient office building, and a LEED certified home, as well as a number of remodels, additions, and kitchen/bath upgrades. My professional training and experience makes me a  valuable team member both as a support to architects and interior designers, as well to assist homeowners with their construction process.  I regularly update my professional education regarding "green" and energy efficient building methods and materials to better serve our clients. (read more)
