SAN FRANCISCO MASTER BATH

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This historic building is on top of Nob Hill and has a fantastic view from the master bedroom.  The owners wanted a luxurious master bath upgrade that included a steam/shower/jacuzzi area from which they could enjoy the view while soaking in the tub.

We created an interior window to match the mahogany windows of the house and helped the owners to choose an exotic hardwood for the vanity and custom moulding to set off the luxurious stone tile and slab finishes.

The entire bath area can be either a shower or a steam shower.  The extra large soaking tub contains the latest technology and is filled by an outlet in the ceiling with water streaming down to fill the tub.   We maximized the size of the glass entry to the bath/shower/steam area to provide natural light from the adjacent skylight. A modern Robern medicine chest and mirrors are framed in traditional moulding made of the same exotic hardwood as the round-front vanity.  We designed the millwork to be consistent with flavor of the historic San Francisco building.
