SOUTHWESTERN HACIENDA
SOUTHWESTERN HACIENDA
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Before H&H, Julia managed the construction of this 4,000 square foot home with basement. The project was designed to reflect the Spanish heritage of the Southwest and included custom alder windows, knotty alder doors and cabinetry, and reclaimed and distressed wood beams. The project was completed for an astonishingly modest price per square foot.
The floors were terra cotta and distressed hickory, with veneer plaster walls in the public areas. Much of the custom cabinetry was hand-distressed alder. The arch shown on the left is made from reclaimed Italian bricks.
Julia supported the owner with tile layout for the tiles made of terra cotta, marble, and handcrafted Mexican pottery.
