The floors were slate and distressed hickory, with veneer plaster walls in the public areas (Venetian plaster in the master suite).  Much of the custom cabinetry was hand-distressed alder and many of the bathrooms featured trompe l’oeil decorations on the walls.

The finishes were selected to evoke a Tuscan Villa and included multi-colored slate roofing, copper gutters, natural stone wainscoting and walls, as well as cast stone features.  Ornamental stair rails were installed inside and outside.
